Graduate Podiatrist - Casual to Part Time 

An opportunity exists for a Graduate Podiatrist to enter a multi-disciplinary Private Practice clinic. You will benefit from the shared expertise from other Allied Health Practitioners. You will enjoy managing a case load covering all aspects of podiatry including general care, musculoskeletal, biomechanics, orthotics, paediatrics, nail surgery and diabetic foot assessment and management. 

You will value professional development and mentoring by our senior Podiatrist together with growth coaching from team leaders. 

The role will involve services at our Canning Vale clinic, and requires: 

• A confident communicator with the skills to develop quick rapport and strong therapeutic relationships with patients 

• Patient centric application of a biopsychosocial approach 

• The use of health coaching principles to motivate and manage patient care 

• Enjoy a caseload mix of private, CDM, dva, and compensable patients 

• You have a growth mindset and see Podiatry as a valuable solution to patients problems 

• You are willing to market yourself and our health group to the community to generate referrals. 

The successful candidate will demonstrate a high degree of clinical competence possess outstanding interpersonal skills and a strong desire to grow and retain a caseload. For your application to be considered you will need to be a qualifying as a Podiatrist 2019 or early 2020 and hold current skills and experience with the following criteria: 

• Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM). 

• AHPRA registered 

Remuneration is offered on salary basis, with full leave entitlements as applicable to employment terms. There will be a probationary period for the role with permanency with great performance. You will be offered a clear career pathway based on your personal and career goals. 

You must hold current professional indemnity insurance. An external professional development allowance is provided ($300 per annum) together with mentoring and internal professional development (20 sessions per year) with health industry experts. 

You will initial start on 10 hours per week consisting of 2 shifts per week (including Saturday). High performers will be offered increasing hours in 2020.

New Graduate Physiotherapist 

An opportunity exists for a New Graduate Physiotherapist to join our team of Physiotherapists from January 2020. You will develop skills assisting a variety of patients with musculoskeletal pain, sports injury and neurological conditions.  

You will join our new graduate training program offering professional development and mentoring with our Physiotherapy team with over 50 years combined experience. You will thrive with growth coaching with team leaders to launch your career in the private industry. 

The role requires:

  • A confident communicator with the skills to develop quick rapport and strong therapeutic relationships with patients

  • Patient centric application of a biopsychosocial approach to consultations and all follow up care using the clinical translational framework 

  • The use of health coaching principles to motivate and manage patient care 

  • Skills to manage a caseload mix of private, cdm, compensable, self funded NDIS and group exercise (Pilates and Falls Prevention)

  • Promoting yourself and our health group to the community

The successful new graduate will demonstrate clinical competency through university training, possess outstanding interpersonal skills and a strong desire to grow and nurture a caseload. You will initially start on 38 hours per week (including Saturday). You will be offered part time hours for the first 3 months, and build up to full time inheriting a caseload from our Physio leaving us temporarily on maternity leave. 

 

For your application to be considered you will need to be a qualified Physiotherapist and meet the following criteria:

  • Bachelor in Physiotherapy

  • AHPRA registered

  • Indemnity insurance
