How do you read food labels?
Updated: Jul 8, 2021
It can be challenging and confusing when trying to compare food items in the supermarket.
Here are some simple tips to remember when trying to make healthier food choices from Perth Dietitian's at WA Health Group.
1. Compare products using the per 100 g column
2. Be mindful of the amount of:
total fat
saturated fat
sugar
sodium (salt)
3. Aim for foods high in fibre for example fruits, vegetables and wholegrain cereals.
