Have you ever wondered how to read food labels?
Updated: Sep 17, 2020
It can often be quite challenging and confusing when trying to compare food items in the supermarket.
Here are some simple tips to remember when trying to make healthier food choices from Perth Dietitian Ivana Giovannini.
1. Compare products using the per 100 g column
2. Be mindful of the amount of total fat, saturated fat, sugar and sodium (salt) is the food item.
3. Aim for foods high in fibre i.e. fruits, vegetables and wholegrain cereals.
